Nice to see Lisa Norden on camera but strategically that’s not good if she’s pulling her chase pack. Would like for Lisa to be second wheel.

At this point I'm thinking that the women were not warned that the drafting rules would be very strictly enforced because this is a lot of penalties. Or maybe they are always warned and they just didn't take it that seriously? I don't know how it works.

More good news for the ladies out front, 3 more penalties from potential podium finishers. This really disrupts any chase going on, figure some from Ry's group may be in for a rest stop too..

Is it possible some asshole enjoying authorities giving out all these penalties? There's always this one asshole wherever you go.

Or just not used to it. For all practical purposes, there are double the numbers of refs out there since they don't have a mens race. So more officials can spend more time in the ranks of the womens.

Good point. Could be the effect of the women getting their own day.

I dont know about any asshole, but for sure they are looking at the exact line on the road for this. So if you sit on that fine line, got your head down for a few seconds when the leader eases off or goes uphill, then you are caught out to have to pass. Most the time when this happens the riders just ease up to get back, but that seems to not be in play today for the Marshalls..

No - just being enforced for a change.
