I'll start it. I'm sitting on my balconey right above the swim start. It's cold out there and the wind is picking up. Joe says the bike is looking like a fast one with tail winds to start out.

The wind from the east is picking the surf up a bit. No one is in the water yet at 6:31. Spectators are bundled up like they are in Green Bay, not Florida.

Weather Underground is reporting 46F with 13mph winds. Definitely going to be chilly early on the bike.

BTW, if you are looking at the static image instead of getting a viseo feed like I was, click the link for the live video again, and you'll get video.

The static seems to be cleared up since they moved to transition.

Its warming up now, the wind doesn't seem to have picked up after all.

This wasn't a bandwidth issue. The particular feed I was viewing had a static "Ironman Florida" Logo instead of a video feed. I think it was because I connected right when the feed came up.

The perfect reciepe for people to think they are hero's for the first half of the bike only to have their hopes and dreams crushed by improper pacing when they make the turn for home and have a headwind for the last 35-40k.

Who ever is operating that camera needs to take some tips from some Pros. All I am seeing is constant zooming and moving. Only beginners do this.

Good lord! These are Ironmen??? Didn't anyone bother to practice putting clothes on BEFORE leaving the change tent and how to get on a bike when it is moving?

This is like watching baseball players that don't know how to put a glove on properly.

yeah, I'm amazed at the number of people giving up :30 or more just trying to mount their bike. :30 may not sound like much but I believe Dev lost a few IM spots at multiple races by less than :30 total.
