Ironman Arizona (GAME ON!!)
4:30AM wake-up on the East Coast for a busy day of training & tracking Philly Marathon & IMAZ. Not my kind of day weather-wise in AZ:

http://www.weather.com/...yhour/graph/USAZ0233

& we never know the official starters until the gun goes off, but definitely looks like it's going to be a barn-burner:

"Not my kind of day weather-wise in AZ:"

Those would pretty much be my ideal conditions...better if "scattered showers" ends up not meaning "mostly downpours".

But I'm a pansy when it comes to the cold. If it were 50F & drizzling when I got on the bike, I'd be absolutely miserable!

It is nice to see the list of non Pro starters up front to avoid the 'has anyone seen ...' questions

Good call, I hadn't checked the updates yet. As per IMLive:

Here's a list of the registered pros who won't be racing here this weekend:
- Lyne Bessette
- Paul Amey
- Jonathan Caron
- Nina Kraft
- Beatrix Blattmann
- Jimmy Archer
- Tim Snow
- Juan Carlos Ramirez
- David Kahn
- Mike Caiazzo
- Daniel Bean
- Dion Harison
- Daniel Bretscher
- Jan Rafael
- Maik Twelsiek
- Andy Potts

Andy Potts will be racing in Cozumel next weekend - he and Rutger Beke will be the favorites there. (Don't miss our coverage next weekend - Shawn Skene will be doing the coverage for us there.)

Anybody else having some serious buffering issues? I've watched just about every WTC Ironman this year from this very computer, and today is by far the worst. They can't get a full sentence out without having to buffer.

What browser are you using? I'm using Google Chrome and it has not had to buffer once.

The leader is bilateral breathing. Just pointing this out to those who say it is never done by fast people.

5 minutes on youtube will show that fast swimmers have every imaginable breathing pattern.

so the answer isn't there

gotta keep training!

Jordan's out of the water in 16th, ~4mins down on the leaders, but 90sec up on Lieto.

FANTASTIC swim for 1st yr pro Ian Mikelson in 51:15 (http://twitter.com/ianmikelson). There was a breakdown of Ian's nutrition from IM Lake Placid that we posted on ST HERE.

Jordan is right about where I thought he would be with this swim field, only suprise is that Lieto is 2 minutes further back. I timed them going out of transition, and Leito had a horrible one. Both guys have a lot to make up, but Leito is really in the tank at the start. Chrissie had a great swim, only seconds down on the leaders.
