I think Cervelo makes fantastic bikes. I'm a huge fan of the company and I love the fact that Gererd takes an active role here.

There's also everpresent grumbling that this board is biased towards Cervelo. I think to a certain extent that's true and I don't really care, after all I do think the bikes are great.

But is there a forum rule written somewhere that states that whenever a question relating to bicycles is asked that responses must include posters suggesting Cervelo?? I swear it's getting out of hand.

My butt hurts when I ride.... Have you considered a P2K?

What are your favorite bib shorts?.... You should check out a P3.

What are your opinions regarding the Guru Trilite? .... Take a look at a Dual.

Is everyone on payroll and I'm just a sucker?

I won't dispute that they're great bikes. I think I mentioned that in my original post. (As a matter of fact, you'll find one in my garage.) I'm just tired of threads like:

Original Post: I'm looking for a new bike and I've narrowed it to two choices: option A, and option B.

The cheerleaders all shout: "Option C, option C, go with Cervelo!!"

So much for addressing the question.

You are right about people on the board always suggesting Cervelo, and I have stopped myself from posting several times because I knew someone else would suggest Cervelo before I could. However, it just makes sense. They build a great bike and they are affordable (relative to other bikes of the same level).

I wanted a P3 ever since Jaylew smoked me when he first got his. Two bikes at the crest of a hill, no pedaling, he's pulling away, and I have to start pedaling to catch him. I have one now, and I love that thing. I thought I would still ride my M4 Specialized, but I have not touched it since I built the P3. Its just that much fun, oh and its comfortable, to ride.

It's not surprising about Cervelo. They make great bikes. Everyone here loves them. And Gerard frickin is selling our peaceful tribe clothing and is a forum member. That's hard to beat. Guru's are great too. I only wish cervelos would fit me better but I think their top tubes are too long.

I know you're too late on the first count....a personal friend of mine has a P3 with PowerCranks. I'm afraid you're too late on the second count, too, but that's just a suspicion! I know you're too late on a Lucero with Rotor Cranks...that's a fact.

I have a friend with a new P3. He's a fabulous cook. I wish I could cook.... maybe I should get a P3...
