Yes they did. A lot of them told me that they remembered how cold it was as a spectator and said they same thing,"again?"

A lot of us had "unfinished business." But as you know, it made it even more sweet in 07!

I like these from Steelhead 1/2 IM in Benton Harbor, Michigan. I can't remember if I got these off of xtri or sent to me from a friend.

You and I must have been standing only feet away from each other, I have the same photo! What a great race. I did the run leg on a relay team but plan on doing the Savageman on my own this year.
Great picture. Too bad sound can't be added, you could hear swimmers and not see a soul for a while!

Am really interested to see this thread continue as photographing sport and triathlon/ironman particularly has been something of a focus for me the past 18 months.

The image below(Edmonton ITU World cup 2007), is another with some action. The cropping of it will mean it is less useful as a desktop pic.

All the images on my site a free to be used as desktop pics. But they cannot be used commercially without prior agreement(copyrighted).

This event page of the ITU world cup in Edmonton is encrypted but most are not.

Wow, this is a cool thread with some awesome pics. Surprised we haven't seen any of the helmet-on-backwards shots.

Here are some more cool shots of that foggy SavageMan swim referenced earlier.

And some beauties of folks who will not be getting bricks engraved with their names laid into the road of Westernport Wall for making it over cleanly (but kudos for trying and not taking the longer, more manageable way around as most did):

And, here's BigZach "TheDumpster" Ruble in T2 showing what the SavageMan bike course can do to you:

Great images. I am very interested to know what is going to happen next in the image where, 'the woman looks to be about to slap the guy still stuck in his shoe clips'???

Here is another image taken by a USA based photographer. Interesting with the 1st and 2nd in the background and Michael Lovato finishing in 3rd(looking strong).

here is a link to the page:

Like some of the images above I was amazed to see 1000's of competitors at the swim start of this event. Wow, it is impressive seeing it for the first time!

That is me in the picture working as a volunteer and I was giving the guy a high five!
This guy had sat at the bottom of that steep ass hill for like five minutes - he just looking up at it debating if he wanted to try.
We were all encouraging him to do it, so when he finally did we went crazy cheering for him.
As you can see he is laughing and I was so impressed that he tried and so many others tried to or climb that hill that I am going to try this year :)
The Savageman Half Ironman - arguably the hardest HIM.

With an aero bar in front of his mouth its hard to tell if he's laughing. It kind of looks like he may be screaming for help; "someone get this crazy lady away from me". :)

I was a volunteer and I helped the guy up ( I helped a lot of people up that day).
No wonder people are afraid to post on the main forum - so often people take a picture or words out of context and try to make someone look bad when in reality they are doing something good.

Oh, it was I who was first to think that he had just fallen off his bike and was 'getting told off '. Didn't mean to offend you.

I bet if this was put up as a new thread saying, 'What is going to happen next', most would look for something adrenalin charged. Actually might try it in a while.

Here is a photo I just put as my desktop background. Somehow it took the black frame from my site with it, and looks even better:

It is triathlon related in that the winning male from 'Challenge Wanaka' did it 3 weeks later and placed 12th.

The winner of the above race, did ironman N.Z (his first S/B/R) and placed 7th only 15mins back from Cam Brown.

And another from an adventure race. Special photo technique to try and focus on the subject. This one has lasted 3 weeks now as the desktop wallpaper on the shared work computer.

Cheers from www.triathlonshots.com

(I assume you meant this about the reply I wrote.) Thanks! It took incredible restaint not to reply to the post that was bashing me for being a bully. Apparently that restraint vanished as I slept last night. Oh well, enough said.
