Seriously, apart from referring you to the many and involved discussions of this over on gordoworld, which I'm sure you already know about, I'd suggest that Aet (which I don't think should be touted as a technical or scientific term since it clearly is not one) is probably synonymous with the first upswing of lactic production. Alternatively, you might define it as Ideal Ironman Pace, but only if you factor in cardiac drift, hydration etc etc.
