Race faster. Race longer.

Finish every race I enter. I've never DNF'd.

So far I'm registered for FL HIM May 15th. My first HIM.
Also St. Anthony's, second time around.

For every race I do in 2011 that I did in 2010 I want a faster time. Significantly faster would be nice.

Olympic tri run in under an hour.

Good luck at IMSouth Africa. I hear the event in Port Elizabeth is quite nice. Are you in the UK or Seychelles.

_EH_....I would think that on the same same effort (based on my powermeter data) that without the crazy winds, we should have been able to ride 5-7 minutes faster at Canadian on a no wind day. The nice thing if I don't qual for Vegas is thatwe have Canadian and Demi Esprit on back to back weekends. Not everyone is so fortunate to have two great half IM races where they live (well, I don't live in Montreal, but grew up there and going there is like heading home anyway....)

Thanks Dev. I'll be in the UK until at least February, so there's still a couple of months of winter to suffer. Then it'll be training in the tropics in preparation for IMSA!

This year's goals are a rollover from last year because I was off for the summer due to complications with a broken ankle. They are:

1. Sub 10 hours at IMC
2. KQ because of the sub 10 IMC
3. Sub 2:10 Oly (if it fits with the training schedule)
4. Crush as many dreams as possible

Well, considering that 2011 will be my first Tri seasona and 2010 was my first running season I will not be setting my bar too high. I have only ran 2 races, a 10k and a Half Marathon and really enjoyed them. I am currently in the process of figuring out my winter training regim and having a LOT of fun shopping for my equipment.

I just had my first swim lesson this morning since I was 13. :)

In 2011, my first race will be a sprint, and would like to follow that up with 2 Olys in the same season.
2012, I will wish to complete my first HIM.

Sure thing. It's better known as a honeymoon destination than a training base, but the sea swimming and rides/runs around the coastal roads are gorgeous.

Sub 11.

Same goal as the last 10 years. 18 minutes to go - and I really believe sub 11 in '11 is going to happen!

Main goal for 2011 is to finish Ultraman Canada. Hopefully under 30 hours.

Sub goals, sub 4:40 half, maybe at Oliver or Esprit if I make it out East.

Randy, when you say "crush my Kona PR" there is an underlying goal of "qualify again for Kona?"

If you meet those goals - you should be able to win most local sprint and olympic races. Unless you are consistantly racing really really fast dudes.

To heal up and train consistently without injury.
Finish Oceanside 70.3 in the 5:xx range and have a good time doing it. It would be nice to PR the flat run course.
Finish Vineman 70.3 in the 5:30-5:45 range and have a good time doing it.
Finish IMAZ

Anything else is freakin' fabulous but that is all I am planning at this point.
Obviously not as impressive as most of you but I will take them if I can get them.

Those figures were meant for standalone events. To win races around here I would have to do those times in a triathlon, and that's not going to happen. Most local races do have some really fast dudes.

1) break 18 in a 5k (PR is 18:08 with a wrong turn)

2) Podium in local tri

3) Sub 30 5 mile race

3) Chesapeakeman 140.6 - The race will be just shy of 5 years to the date of an accident where I fractured C5, C6, T7, T8, S1, right femur...still getting over all the issues from it.
