2009 Powertap Models
Anyone know when the average Joe will be able to purchase one of the 2009 Powertap models? This article says September and I've seen "in the fall" as well. I'd like to wait until the new models are out but if they are going to get delayed much I may buy the current version now. - thanks.

Don't know the answer to your question, but I will add one---what does the Comp model not do that the Elite does? Is is just the wireless parts or do you lose other features as well? Also, is the wireless really that much important? Does it really make that big of a difference?

I think the word on the street was that it would be revealed at Interbike?

I also can't answer the original question... other than to add "I hope soon" and "my LBS doesn't know either".

To answer your question on wireless, check this thread:

Also remember that the new wireless Powertaps will be ANT+ compatible which means lots of future connectivity options beyond what's available now. That's why I'm heavily leaning towards wireless. Essential? Possibly not. But I would say worth it.
