If you're going to own one wheel set for racing and training, this is it. These wheels have it all - aerodynamics, stiffness, low weight and durability. ENVE's 45 clincher is an excellent all-purpose rim, ideal for everyday training as well as uncompromised race day use. The rear wheel only has about 1000 miles on it and the front wheel has never been used – it is brand new.
The ENVE 45 clincher rim was designed with a 45mm rim profile to optimize aerodynamics while reducing rim weight to a mere 440g. The carbon braking surface was designed to minimize and dissipate heat, while providing a considerably lighter rim than those with traditional alloy braking surfaces. ENVE's proprietary molding process creates a spoke interface that permits higher tensions than most other carbon rims. This design dramatically improves nipple seating angles, which extends spoke fatigue life and wheel durability.
