How’s the snowpack in the high Alps right now? When someone brings up the unpredictability of the Giro, my head still goes right to Steven Kruijswijk pancaking into the snowbank while leading in 2016.

Bet it's on YouTube somewhere.

Meanwhile another exciting stage in Romandie. Decathlon is on absolutely on fire this year. I do miss the brown shorts/white jersey though.
Did anyone watch the whole prologue yesterday? Very technical short course; really interesting to see who can flog a bike and who cannot (cough Hayter cough). I only watched part of it but was impressed by Christen's ride - you can see it here: .

That Romandie prologue was super tricky and what a win it was for Zijlaard and Tudor. Stage 1 was a nice finish with another hot team taking the win.

stage 2 was also exciting, thought for a bit the break was going to succeed which would have been nice to see Joey R come in. Have to say though, now that I have been watching a lot more cycling this year love listening to Carlton Kirby commentate, guy is a one many show. Such an upgrade from Rob, Phil and Christian.

In the news of how quickly these top athletes can recover, Wout's posted a 100km ride outdoor on Strava. Says he's "almost professional again."

He looked good yesterday, and played it pretty well today. Big step in his career. Little Trek are fun team these days.

T-bone getting increasingly savvy. He’s quick in a sprint but today’s win was well played. Not to mention how he was squeezed twice but still had the legs to take long way around.

And also Magnus von Magnus.
So here’s a little inside baseball on UAE crushing TTs this year, like having 3 in top 4 today. Part of it is equipment—for Ferris’ assault on the double, UAE and ENVE have been working on new aerobar extensions, 100mm front and new rear disc, all of which test (by UAE) super fast. Results seem to prove that out.

True, but they also just have a squad full of absolute hitters. Put those two things together and you'll get results.

Speaking of UAE, the startlist for Asturias is amusing. It looks like it'll be a bloodbath.
