Where can I buy some used gel wrappers so I can fix my tire sidewall crack?

How do you get the race number inside the tubing?
Sorry :) :) :)

Flat Coke

Do you have the recipe?

I've been using Dr. Pepper lately; maybe DrAlex could do a comparison?

I hate using pre-made products for the same price to make my life easier. Is there a hard way to get 80% of the way there?

What's your CdA?

Ok, here's the prototype (below).

What worked:
-Much lighter than a standard race belt (2/3 lighter)
-Comfortable
-Easy to adjust the length, even during a race (just shorten/lengthen the loops that go through the race number)
-Safety (the buckle will release if pulled too hard, so you can't get clotheslined). Found this out when it caught on a tree branch during an tri with a trail run.
-Secure. Never had a race number come loose.

What didn't:
-While the buckle is dual-sided (so you don't have to worry about it being backwards), its small size makes it tricky to clasp running out of T2.
-Hard to "spin" the belt around. I like to run with the number at the back and spin it to the front for the finish and on course photogs. The cord is quite stretchy, so pulling just stretches the cord vs. spinning the whole belt.

PS: Working on another version; maybe the problem with race belts is that they are belts.....

I’ve used the shoestring approach and I like it because it doesn’t ride up like elastic does.
