Yes, they do.

They are funny, and people think it is fun.
They also almost exclusively have Belgian/Dutch people in the videos so that probably helps they just drive to them and film for a few hours :)

Except Remco/MvDP etc. the other athletes are in the bigger picture very small so they probably gain some traction to their own social medias too.

Their try a sport with a pro format is so good!

AND MVDP to do an IRONMAN?! Can he do that while being a pro? Maybe end of season IM Conzumel kind of thing, if he can swim it would help a lot then the bike is easy and add a few runs in to not die on the marathon.

Not an expert, but:

That Triathlon Life has 57k subscribers
Lionel Sanders has 168k susbcribers and his top film had 300k views total
Average Rob has 400k subscribers and their lastest film had a quarter million views in less than a day, but hey, it had MvdP in it; their top one (no mainstream celebrities) scored 1.5m views and stupid ones about pumpkins and drinking beer in Munich (also no celebrities) get 300-500k views.

These guys did that as non-native English speakers who make videos in English (in a country with a population of less than 12 million).

I'm damned impressed, as I'm sure I would be if I was a high profile PRO.

I feel like Peter Sagan's peak came about 8 years too early. He was made for stuff viral social media like this.

As noted, he does the Ironman, but you should really search out the series of their training. I think there’s about four or so different videos on it.
