Definitely maybe. it's not as easy as saying yes. If it bothers your shoulders to be that narrow is it worth it? Assuming you can hold it, the answer is potentially.

I think the OEM pads on the tri rigs kind of suck. I have ~ 500 miles on mine and I can feel the bolt head and all the bolt holes under my elbows/arms. On the other hand it's hard to fault any manufacturer for putting plush pads on and driving up the price point.

I'm probably going to pop everything off and stick my old profile pads on. They are more cup like and the aftermarket pad have ~ 2k miles on them yet still comfy.
