Get cargo bike, and your partner can ride in front.

She bikes and I run beside her. That levels the playing field. And a side benefit is she can carry a water bottle for me.

Does anyone know of a product that would provide extra resistance while riding? I would like to ride with my partner, but they are a significantly slower rider than I am. I'm thinking something which would allow me to tool around and be pushing and extra 100 watts for the same speed. thanks for any help!
Have you considered borrowing/stealing a small child/dog and pulling them in a trailer behind you?

My last ride was 290w np for 1.5 hours, 13.7 mph with my daughter behind me. Totally flat ride.

How about a rack on the back with bricks on it. I've heard of it done by roadies over the winter when training. You know it's gonna make you stronger.

28mm Continental Gatorskins with a thick “puncture resistent’” butyl innertube.
Baggy jacket
Pannier on back of bike with a few bricks strapped to it.

Have seen all the above done over the winter by beastly Time triallers.
