That was a serious attack by Casper. Will be exciting to see how he can run.

I bet Kanute is kicking himself for not covering the attacks. Seems like it would suit his off the front style.

He has missed three attacks, Stornes, the Dane and the second Norwegian one.

Great racing! Do those guys ever train with Seiler or the XC team there? I always assume there is some crossover but I have no idea.

When three athletes from the same country take the podium by the storm, two of them coming from no where, in the worst climate for them, I raise my brows.

Well they got 14 medals in XC skiing this winter which is insane. That country is well-versed in endurance sport.

They do train at high altitude in Sierra Nevada and I'm sure they wanted it more.

How many countries send teams to xc skiing? And of those, how many actually have snow enough time during the year so it can actually be practiced? In addition, as good as the conditions are in Norway for xc skiing, they are inversely proportional to Tri. Plus three genetic lottery wins in the same town seem a bit unprobabilistic.

Plus, they won with a margin I had never seen before in ITU racing.

I am with the last poster, asthma probably explains it all.

Just caught the woman's race, Duffy really is in a league of her own right now such a shame Gwen decided to call it a day when she did.

Good to see Holland back on the podium, pity it took the BBC till the interview to figure out she'd came 2nd! Another howler by them!

As for the men's, where did the other two Norweigens come from? Jonny Brownlee must have been kicking himself for staying at home (unless he's injured) that course would have suited him down to the ground.

As for the PED shouts above, I'm well prepared to give them all the benefit of the doubt seems they've all just come from high altitude it seems, (that might change if this continues throughout the season on flat none bike breakaway friendly courses though!)
