Dan, why doesn't USAT make the membership run from the beginning of the year until the end of the year? This way, USAT could tie the elections and renewal into the same electronic process. When you renew, say in a 45 day window from 1/2 to 2/13 or so, you also cast your ballot. The candidates and membership have fron November or so until when they vote to read up on the candidates and issues. To further knowledge of the candidates, USAT should have their profiles/applications for election posted on their website with the platform each candidate is running for. USAT could also throw out a few questions a week to these candidates from questions the membership submits. Just some food for thought.

I hope Jack, Mandy, Kevin, and whomever else from the BOD reading this takes it into consideration.

there is one thing infinitely more important to USAT than elections: money. (and rightly so, probably). if there is an issue of value in considering paying $30 for a year, it would be doubly hard to ask somebody to pay $30 for part of a year. therefore, memberships run a full 12 months from purchase.

Essentially, though, this would only be an issue for new members once the first cycle of this method has run its course, correct?
