You might not have an infection -- it could just be some chronic inflammation, in which case a week or two of Celebrex should clear up the epididymitis.

There are some good recommendations out there on epididymitis. Regular snu-snu seems to help.

Almost six years ago exactly I posted the OP and a bout of epididymitis came roaring back the last few days. I just spent two days in so much discomfort. Antibiotics took about 48 hours to start doing their thing but Monday night into Tuesday afternoon might have been the most uncomfortable 18 hours of my life.

It was like someone was squeezing my left nut nonstop for a day and a half. I don’t wish that on anyone.

So the infection for me was hard to make go away as apparently it is hard to get antibiotics to that area. I switched to herbal treatments that mainly consisted of saw palmetto and never looked back. I take it every day now.

Good luck as I would definitely try the non-antibiotic route.
