Well I'm pretty sure CB was ~440W for the Superman record but ... in any case I can't see anyone really going for that record any longer. That 56k was incredible ...

I'd love to see LA make the attempt - after winning lucky #7 of course ....

Re his performance during the Tour TT's -- well look at his prologue placings - not many weary legs on those days I'd suggest - and no reason for anyone to take it easy.

In any case, it would be very interesting to see - wonder what CB thinks of it?

LOTS of riders take it easy on the prologue, and they don't label "prologue" specialists for nothing.

At 68 kilos, Boardman's power output was around 445, but other riders that didn't hit the 56km mark, like Tony R. were up to 470 watts and he was light than Chris.

interestingly, in the book by (forgot the name and I don't have it here sorry) the guy who heads a south Africa dept of ex. sci and the head of the nutrition dept of the AIS, they mention that the power output of CB was about the same as they one of Eddy Merckx...

"When did Lance show up for a one day TT and put the smack on like he has during tours where Rogers, Rich, PEschel, etc. have a week of fatigue or orders to "soft" pedal the course to save their legs?"

When did Armstrong show up for a TT not having built his entire training and racing program around the Tour? Works both ways.
