Walked through the copy center at work a few days ago and that one was coming from the radio. Wow, hello, 1979, I was transported.
Once in the middle of a race (car), I turned onto the back straight of Shannonville and Rick James "I'm gonna rock on-to electric avenue" popped into my head. Couldn't get it out, concentration went to hell in a handbasket. Missed about three shifts!

No, no, no. That was Eddie Grant. You diss the memory of Rick James confusing him with Eddie Grant. You need to buy a copy of Freaky Girl and listen to it 10X over the weekend in penance.
I bow to your superior knowledge of "Funk". The in-laws are here this weekend. 10x "Freaky Girl" might be worth it to drive out the demons! I'm on my way out the door to Deja-vu Discs.

I think you're missing the point of most of those songs. They were merely an excuse to film soft-core porn videos.
Although they do all, more or less, suck ass.
