I read it as "That's a cap!" and was thinking in terms of wrapping things up. When it dawned on me that there was no "a" I overthought it and was looking for the slang meaning, lying or exaggerating. Once I got the hint it was very clear what the theme was.

Pretty easy today if you ever learned how to read music.

I spotted flat right away and knew where it was going.

I have never learned to read music. There were two answers that I have never associated with music, but at least they didn’t put in the Italian terms.

Yeah, that was tricky for me. I was thinking team, employee.... then when I was finding random words for a clue and flat turned out to be a word, I had no idea what the theme was. When I did use my hint it gave me clef. Then I knew it was about music but other than basic terms like sharp and flat I am not familiar with much music terminology.

Yeah I would think I’m that it’s not so easy if you didn’t learn to read music.

I grew up in the Salvation Army and was handed a horn to play when I was 7. Pretty much every kid who grew up attending the Salvation Army will have a musical background.

Last music class was in middle school. Got sharp and flat in the corners and thought, well that’s the extent of my knowledge for the theme.

Some of it came back, but basically muddled through it to finish.

Call me? I found Queen right away and thought, oh hell yeah 80's bands or musics, this will be easy. I was way off. Thankfully the next couple words I found I figured I'd bank for a clue but got lucky and they were answers.

Calling it fair… not trivially easy, and just enough variation in related words to keep it interesting.

The first thing I thought of was Blondie. : ) I figured it had something to do with "refer to me as". I was filling up my hint cache when I got Queen also. I locked into royalty and spent a lot of time looking. Then I saw doctor and realized it was much more general. It still took me awhile to find the others but I was patient and didn't use my hint.

Easy one today. First two words in the top corners set it up nicely.

This was the easiest one for me so far. Got all of the words except the last one in under a minute. Then it took me a little time to see the word in the last remaining letters.

Pretty sure this the first time i got the Spanagram first. I saw music and thought I'd bank it towards a clue, then just kept following it to the end. After that, the puzzle was pretty easy.

Gotta admit, I don't know who Common is, and Meatloaf took me forever to piece together.

Spangram first as well. Common is a rap artist and an actor.

They seem to like using music related themes quite a bit lately.

I had to take the clue. ( Pink ) It was still tricky and slow. There are so many one name bands/performers out there spanning decades and I'm not a music aficionado. Common was my last one, it was the word I could make with the letters. Never heard of him either. Seal I found the word then remembered the artist. Meatloaf popped for me then Prince. I saw Brandy but only remembered it because of the 70's song. Jewel also remembered after I found the word.

LOL, no kidding, I had to look up how to spell aioli. I saw it immediately but couldn't get the spelling correct. So i'll chalk myself up as needing a hint today.

Definitely, spelling was an issue. Aioli wasn't to bad but sriracha and tzatziki I also had to make my feeble attempt in the Google tab and have it get me the correct spelling.
