All,
planning to do do a 300k gravel tour on Saturday
The profile is pretty flat, 1.000m of elevation in total (along a river vally in Germany).
Temperatures are predicted to be13°C when I start out at around 06:30 max out at 28°C at 4 p.m.
Wind conditions are predicted to be a light tailwind (10km/h) on the first 120k and a headwind of exact the same on the 180km back
Fuelwise I plan to carry 1,5l of water and stop every 60k to refuel, more often if needed.
I plan to have a Maurten Gel every hour, giving me 100kcal/25g of carbs and in total 4 of the Maurten Solid (225kcal/44g of carbs).
At 120k I plan to have a 30 min coffee & cake stop.
Planned total riding time is 12h.
Does this sound managable in terms of nutrition or would you think I need more fueling?
There is always the chance to stop at a cafe/gas station along the way, which I would only do if actually needed.
