annnnd they're sold out.

Yeah this is ridiculous - I don't understand why Nike can't keep up with demand. They spend so much on R&D and marketing for the shoe and don't produce enough? Its hard to comprehend.

It’s completely intentional, fake scarcity. I can’t figure out what it gains them though? So like today I bought the Saucony Endorphin Pro, first time buying a non Nike shoe in a long time. Definitely tried to buy the alphafly, but it seems they literally sold out in seconds and I wasn’t fast enough. So Saucony got my money today and Nike didn’t. This is winning?
I asked the same question in Nike logic on this post and you lived up to what I thought could and would happen. Seems the void of your loss will still be easily filled but I have no intention of buying Alphafly or the follow up model until I get sold by the hype again...

How much did things change this time with running specialty stores and other outlets having supply as well? Last time you could buy them online and they were at the US Marathon trials (were they other places as well?).

I bought a pair from the local running store.
Sounds like they were given 1 pair in numerous sizes to sell. My friend snagged a pair also. I got 9s, he got 9.5s. One other person was there when they opened at 11 to get a pair. Three happy people!

So for those who got a pair, how do they feel while running compared to the next%?
Same bouncy feel? Better?

I haven't run in them yet but they feel pretty strange in my living room. I love my next%s and have about 300 miles in those. Stay tuned.

They feel bouncier, perhaps a bit more forgiving. Sizing is identical to the Next for me. The upper on Alpha makes it a much easier shoe to get on T2, IMO.

However, I could notice the extra weight of the shoe (compared to Next%) but Im not sure it will affect performance. I've put about 50 miles on them (all speed work) and I do think it's an improvement over the Next. Now, if they could make the shoe lighter than the Next% it would be the perfect shoe.

Toro Performance

I feel the same way, they feel a bit over-bouncy and unstable. Did a tempo run on the treadmill and they felt weird like they were bouncing well but I was using a lot of energy stabilizing them. The fit and feel of the Next% seems a bit better for me.
