It's sad it has come to this but the only thing you can do is to trust no one. Don't trust anything you see posted online, don't trust any media sources, reporters, journalists, facebook, twitter, or anything else unless you have personal knowledge of the source.

This is probably what Russian leaders want is to sow such distrust people don't know what to believe and it's mainly working unfortunately.

I don't think I can possibly imagine two more unfit candidates for President than the two that Russia is helping. That's an even worse prospect than our choices in 2016.

It's almost as though Russia doesn't have our best interest in mind and wants to divide this great nation.

It's not OK to undermine the U.S. intelligence system for political purposes, as long as it's replaced by a personality-based substitute. That's not how the U.S. is supposed to do things. We have a President who is regulating Congress' access to intelligence briefings. That's also not how our system of government was designed.

Both of those statements are false.

The way trump responds is of great importance. The senate report, written about Republicans, details this.

His actions are not tougher. Some are, but the vast majority are not. Trump has greatly weaken our alliances which is the number one goal of Russia.

Except you got it wrong. This instance wasn't left wing outrage. This was Trump outrage. His appointee made a mundane briefing to the House Intelligence Committee. A briefing with no really new information (Russia continuing to do what we thought they'd do). And Trump did an all-caps meltdown, fired his own guy, and manufactured an issue out of it. When he could have just laughed it off. Or said nothing at all.

There is *no one* more irrationally fixated on Russia than Trump himself. It's like a brain worm with him. He just can't let it go. Like crowd sizes at his inaugeration, or DNC emails. Things we'd have all forgotten if Trump didn't constantly bring them up.

Just imagine the good press trump would have gotten by working with the FBI when Russians contacted him to offer help. That would have been a a huge PR boon for trump and a talking point he could constantly use. But he did not. He did not do that, because he wanted Russia's help.

That's my take as well. The Russians want Trump to win. The best way to do that is get him an opponent that can't possibly carry the Midwest.

I fear this will be a repeat of 2016 where reasonable votes have no one to vote for.

You think that is evidence that Trump is tough on Russia? You're kidding right?

First, Trump pushed the Ukraine President to investigate Biden by withholding $391 million in military aid in the middle of their fight with Russia. That's being tough on Russia?

Second, if he's so tough on Russia, why is the separatist war in eastern Ukraine continuing, why is the Crimean Peninsula still in Russian hands etc. It sounds to me like Trump is using tough words but not doing anything.

Trump has continually threatened to weaken U.S support to Ukraine and call on Europeans to provide more support. Trump said that his decision to delay military aid was not because of getting dirt on Biden (another lie) but because he wanted Europe to pay for the military aid. So he even admitted he doesn't want to provide aid, which Russia sees as a green light to stay in Crimea. They know Trump doesn't even want to provide aid.

And you think that is evidence that Trump is standing up to Russia? Wow, just Wow.
