Speaking of the bag crap, I was in Az recently, after unloading the items from the cart, I said, “I will also take 3 bags”, everyone laughed at me, took me a second to figure out why they were giggling.

yes I too had to do the walk of shame "I'd like to buy some bags" at checkout. Now I keep some bags in my truck in case I have Aldi duties again.

Chocolate chip cookies (same as TJs “Dunkers” but cheaper)
Macaroni and cheese - (the organic stuff that costs $2 includes a packet of liquid cheese rather than the powered stuff)
Check the frozen seafood- usually they have scallops and snow crab cheaper than elsewhere.
Your next thread should be “What should I buy at H-Mart?”

Mouth wash. Drinking all that poo-water flowing from Milwaukee has to give you horrible breath.

I never use bags.Same here, I get maybe 5-10 items there in bulk. I look for empty cartons and snatch them up with the items. Boom free bags.

I used to stop in and grab some Twizzlers on the way to play poker at a guy's house. They had a 23 lbs bag for $0.79 or something like that.

Okay what should I buy at the Asian grocery store?

It's not necessarily an enviro thing about the bags, it's a practical smart person thing. Those shitty thin plastic bags have cost me a 6 pack of beer falling in the parking lot back in the day. Never again.
To see the sweet nectar of God running over the Earth instead of flowing to my lips because I was too much of a consumerist moron than to use a durable reusable bag........shame.
Also, the whole shit about "well they're bag liners I don't have to waste".............did your grandparents have bag liners in their trash cans when they were young? Nope, bag liner invented around 1950.

Okay what should I buy at the Asian grocery store?
Japanese Kit Kats
Kim Chi - the store is Korean, so they have a huge selection of Kim Chi
Ramen
frozen dumplings
Dashi Miso
mushrooms - weird Asian varieties cheap
Fresh Seafood - probably the best/cheapest selection since Isaccson's closed and unlike the seafood stores in Chinatown, H-mart is very clean. They have a lot of stuff you can't get elsewhere like monkish, Live lobsters/fish. if you're not near H-Mart - there's also Seafood City on the north side -
Their avocado prices cannot be beat. Grass fed burger is good, specialty/seasonal cheeses are usually quite good, their Seedtastic bread is a knock off of Dave's Killer Bread and is outstanding, but my favorite "buy a boatload of these" Aldi item are the seasonal chocolate truffles, which they have right now for $2.99/box. Produce and meat is hit or miss overall, but their staple items & dry goods are a great value and save me a ton.
