Alas so does the UK.
Now that I think about it I have some double standards. I've no problem anymore with Lance because he has looked to make amends and truly seemed to have changed. I love Pantani mostly for his panache and I can forgive him for the era he raced in. Horner just runs me the wrong way. In an era where we are at least trying to have a clean peloton, his obvious cheating and bullshit explanations just seem to piss me off. Same with Valverde hell of a good rider, but his refusal to even answer questions about his doping.

Are we left with Bernal vs Thomas? That could be interesting.
Maybe Jakob Fuglsang? His team, Astana, seems solid and his mind seems pretty good.
With Team Ineos having such a strong team, it will be hard for others to even podium like last year. Will we be shocked if Sky/Ineos reloads with their next man up approach and controls the GC...
The green jersey competition seems open and interesting. If Sagan wins it, he'll probably have to be consistently in the top three in finishing sprints while taking intermediate sprints too. I think Julien Alaphillipe could compete for the green jersey in this same way; yet, will probably go for the mountains jersey instead.
What's surprises me about Bardet this year is how much pre TdeF racing he seems to be doing, in the classics and such. Could that help or hurt him?

One wrote clean, one rode dirty.
Bernal lit it up again today. :23 in 2k on another TTer’s climb. Tomorrow should be a good indicator of his whole game against Dennis.

Fuglsang has been on the form of his life and Astana seems to refound their magic of old. I could see him winning though admittedly he has previously said he doesn't have the legs for the third week.

Horner was one of Lance's acolytes and apologists, aka, butt boys. And Lance really hasn't looked to make amends, he was forced to make amends. That's not really coming clean. That's more of a surrender. But, whatev. Interesting guy.
My real beef with Rider 15? is the way he treated the young guys on the little US pro team he rode with last. He could've been a mentor and yet was a tool to them, according to them, btw. At least Hincapie is a nice guy.

I cannot dispute that and thus why I do feel contradictory about these feelings.
He may have been forced there does dream to be some genuine contrition. Plus I think Europeans felt mostly different about these areas of cycling. It was known and assumed. I guess my Horner issue was that he won and was never forced to come to contrition, merely smug. Again, I know 99% of dopers arent caught so it's a double standard on my part. I look at someone like Ullrich as tragic. I dont want to think what choices I would have made had I grown up when and where he did.
But Vino can fuck right off.
Yet I adore Pantani.
Life is complicated.

I think that Horner will be a great addition to the broadcast booth, he was always very well spoken on knowledgeable in interviews.
As far as doing, come on, Horner doped no more or less then (insert your favorite rider) Boonen, Bernal, Sagen.

TD now out of Tour. As far as Horner, he will be next to Christian VV in the booth. Interesting. Bob taking Paul’s roll. Changes will be bit strange. I hope bob does his homework on identifying all the French chateaux’s as Paul’s work in that for all these years was one of my favorite parts of telecast. I will miss that.

Bernal?
America's Most Popular Rider, Joe D, is doing a lot of work bringing back the break for Rigo in the Pyrenees. Damn, it's steep there.

EF/Joe did too much work trying to set Uran up. Movistar was let off the hook.

Back to racing. Lampert with a monster TT today. Nice ride from Egan too. Did anyone catch Pozzovivo's position today? I know he isnt a specialist in this respect and is smaller but damn its garbage.
