Texas gets one right......lemonade

Governor signs law allowing kids to have lemonade stands on their own property.

About damn time. So ludicrous to hear about them getting shut down in some towns and cities.

That is all. This made my day.

When my son was younger he did the lemonade thing a lot. We had a cock sucker from the city come to shut it down once.

We just switched our sign to “lemonade - $1” to “free lemonade - donations welcome”.

When asked what they were donating to we said “fun fund” for the boy.

Turns out you only need permits and health code crap if you’re selling it.

Also, the “donation” technique yielded him waaaaayyyyyy more money.

Civilize the mind, but make savage the body.

I once went to the Memorial golf tournament outside Columbus. Course is lined by $1M+ homes. Kids were selling overpriced lemonade over the fence to the spectators.

Lemonade stands were part of my childhood and my first venture into capitalism. Didn't realize they could be shut down.

The fact that a law was needed for this makes me sad.
