OT - Politics and Swimming
OK, I tried to stay on topic in the other forum, this is where to keep the off topic discussion. Why on Earth do the people on the Swimmer's Guide website ( www.swimmersguide.com ) feel the need to push their values on me by not letting me have access to their listing of pools in states that have gay marriage amendments?

I live in a state that's not banned, why not give me access? Do they really think that denying me the knowledge of where to spend my $4 in some other state for swimming on vacation is going to hurt them and make them change their politics? Amazing.

I just looked at the website... that has to be the most asinine thing I've ever seen.

From their website:

The states of Alaska, Arkansas, Georgia, Hawaii, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nevada. North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, and Utah have all passed so-called "Defense of Marriage" amendments to their state constitutions by popular vote and have, therefore, been deleted from the Swimmers Guide database.

And now gay swimmers in those states can't find a pool. Oh, the humanity!

Now I am outraged.

Idaho isn't on the list.

I think it is very obvious that the webmaster, Bill Haverland, smokes pole on a very consistent basis. He might even take the D in the C.
