Just for kicks I am going with Pinot, he seems to have really good form now and also seems a bit "hungry"
I was thinking him too -- but you called it, well done.
I'm very pleased for Pinot. He has been riding with panache lately. Also he gets big bonus points for perseverence. In 2013 it seemed his career might be over due to his fear of speed and inability to descend reasonably well.
I didn't see the race and can't find video, but even if the descent of Civiglio is an easy one, it is ironic that he beat Nibali with an attack near the top of the climb and a descent.

It doesn't really matter what Phil is saying, the music of his voice is the appropriate soundtrack for a bicycle race. HTupolev
