They just said water is 19C, yesterday it was 16C. Wind is 8-9Kph SE.

Kanute just went to the opposite side of where Jan and Javi set themselves up for swim start.

Here in SA we have live tv coverage for both days, all day until the last age grouper finishes, just like there is for IMSA.

Well even if AB has no run form, at least he's giving this a good go. It's good to see.

And it's going to make for an exciting run.

What is going on with AB? Flat or tactical?

Kanute isn't messing about though.

Looks like the Frodo & Gomez group closed the gap so he just sat up and stopped attacking for now.

I don’t think anyone could get away on this course. Maybe on the old Vegas course but not here - the train behind them is just going too fast.

Currie at 1”20, that is a surprise.

Frodo was asking for someone to come up, Ali responded to the call. Frodo gave him a thumbs up.

Yep, like I said, Jan let off a touch :p

They're doing a great job at dropping people slowly from that front group keeping this pressure up.

Well Ali is not shy!

Of course Gomez has no interest in doing a turn. Don’t like to see that, especially as defending champ.

gomez looks dangerous to me. he's just sat in marking the leaders the whole time, and burned no matches taking pulls. . .

Right from the start, he's been the steadiest in the group, could be dangerous on that run with all the matches left ;)

Earlier in the race he failed to pass, blatant enough for the commentators to talk about it on the stream. He def doesn't want to get close to the front.

I noticed that, though wasn't paying attention enough to see if he entered intentionally or not, then was failing to make up the gap and fell back.

I sat there waiting for a penalty to be assessed!
