I'm very excited for the London Marathon this year!
The Men's Elite field is stacked with talent, Eliud Kipchoge, Kenenisa Bekele, Daniel Wanjiru amongst others as well as home-favourite Mo Farah giving it his first proper shot at the distance.
The Women's Elite field isn't too bad either with Mary Keitany and Tirunesh Dibaba ready to fight it out again; both had less-than-textbook performances in their one-two last year and Keitany still managed to break the Women's-only World Record.
We're having a bit of a mini-heatwave in London at the moment, at least by the standards of our long and miserable winter. It's forecast to cool a little by Sunday with the race temps looking to be around 17 to 20 degrees C (60 to 65 degrees F). Not sure if that's a bit too hot for World Record pace, but it will certainly be the polar opposite of Boston.
Good luck to any of you guys running on Sunday, I've no doubt that the sunshine and good weather will mean some epic support on the course!
