It appears there have been a few threads kicking around about people limiting weight gain, especially during the holidays. There are also many already starting prep for early season racing.
This past weekend we had a short virtual camp to coax one another on to some base mileage. Seems like there are lots of guys/gals doing moderate to big volume, so let's do this thing again from Xmas Eve till Jan 2.
The goal is to do as many hours of training as possible. Speed and intensity are irrlevant. The goal is to just put in some aerobic miles. The side benefit is that you burn off all that chocolate, alcohol and good food.
I have devised a system that is independent of speed, just hours/minutes trained, and I have converted things into "equivalent running minutes, where you get 1 point per minute of running"
This is how it works
The Camp starts on Dec 24th, and goes through to Jan 2nd. My goal is to average 90 points per day (some days more, some days less), so in 10 days, I'd like to get to 900 pts. If I can get to 1000, then that would be a bonus.
Who else is in?

- running, swim, weights = 60 points per hour
- XC skiing = 40 points per hour
- cycling = 30 points per hour
