Ain't that the truth! His bio says he was captain of his university Track and Field team. I figured he would have to be somewhat athletic to get that accolade, until I realized it was the Harvard track team.

Totally agree. Once again I'm not impressed with characters or game play really. Getting a bit formulaic even though they are trying to shake it up with the "don't repeat the bad choices" theme.

I was just mentioning to my husband the numbers and when they would do a tribe shake up. THAT caught me off guard. I thought they usually they wait until only 13 left...we are at 15 now right?

I was thinking the same thing. I thought I picked weaker people to start, but they skated through.

No joy for me. All my picks are still alive.

Looks like a repeat of last season when I run out of picks.

Liked the change into 3 tribes.

The show keeps picking "contestants" that claim to have studied the game, be huge fans, etc, yet every season people do the exact same thing. Early on when the challenges include physical requirements, they vote out the strong people because they will be threats later in the game. Then they lose all the challenges and being at risk of being voted out. Many of the late-game challenges are more about balance and mental strength than about pure physical strength, so I think their thinking is flawed. Keep the early tribe strong so you don't go to tribal, then beat the others with the mental game after the merge.

Or am I looking at this wrong? I don't remember ever really seeing that strategy used, has it worked in the past? They always talk about keeping the tribe strong, then usually vote out the strength. Although, as others pointed out previously, last night's vote didn't show much actual ability in challenges...

Starting from scratch...

Week 6 - Wendall

It's become a bit too formulaic. The really weak people are vulnerable in week 1, possibly week 2, then everyone goes after the strong players, the really shit ones are kept around for as long as possible because everyone wants to have them in the final with them. James should have been kept around. I'm also getting a bit bored of the challenges, it's virtually all a physical challenge then a puzzle. Not much variety.

I've noticed that also... It use to seem that tribes focused on keeping what they thought was was the "best/strongest" tribe together for a longer period of time. It seems like that is not the case as much anymore. ( A person like Donathan I thought may either be voted out immediately or if he made it through his first tribal would probably last long into the game. That's why he wasn't an early pick for me but shifted to what I thought was a safe pick later in the game. )

I couldn't stand Bradley, happy to see him gone! It also makes the game much more interesting that players are willing to stop voting based on original Malolo/Naviti alliances. We'll see if that bites them next week.

Merge next week, should make picks for the remaining Survivor survivor pool players more interesting.

How many idols are now in possession of players? 3? 4? Plus the advantage that gets passed on when the owner is voted out, plus the extra vote. Could make things VERY interesting.

Domenic is smart, except in his feud with Chris, and has an idol and an advantage. He's looking like a good shot for the final.
