Oh I'm not talking about 404's depth wheels. I'm talking about the $1000 wheelsets with no rim depth and mediocre weight. Why pay a grand for a 1500 or 1600g wheelset with no aero benefits?

...anything in the 40mm depth range, tubs or clincher....you run the risk of being an SUV though...ok at everything but not great at anything....

Those are 50mm...and, like the rest of the D3 designs, they apparently "punch above their weight class" and perform more like other designs that are up to 10mm deeper.

So, I guess I'm not exactly sure what you were getting at...

Enve 6.7s... That is what I went with... I'll grab a disc cover to go with them but they are fast. They feel faster than the FC808's I rode last year but I haven't spent enough time on them outside. I know the 808's test faster but I really love the feel of the 6.7s.

Combination of 404 & 808 will be the best IMO.
