In a surprise move, Australia has elected to realign itself with colonial British rule and has thus selected Simon Whitfield, Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee as members of its 2012 Olympic Team. They wish the best of luck to all other participating countries...

And on race day they take each other out on the bike. Macca, representing his recently established Republic of Maccadom after once again being snubbed by T/A, does a Stephen Bradbury and strolls to the finish line.
