I purchased this bike new from the lbs as it is equipped. It is an Expert frame with Comp level components. Someone else wanted the black/yellow frame and had the bike shop switch everything out so I was able to get the red/white frame that I thought looks better. The bike has less than 200 miles on it and is in excellent condition. I'm selling it because it is too large of a frame and I needed a smaller one. Asking $1900 shipped in the con US.

So.... 105 Grouppo? What other components from Comp were switched over?

Willing to sell just the frame module? That way you'll still have the components to transfer over to the smaller frame...
If so let me know!
Thanks,
Travis

It has the complete comp equipment from 2009. 105 Crank and FD, Ultegra SL Rear Derailleur, and DA shifters. The person that bought the other bike wanted the expert level components and the comp frame so the bike shop switched everything over on the frames.

At this time i'm looking to sell the whole bike. I was able to get a good deal on a new Trek SC 7.0 so I don't need the components. If someone else would be interested in the components I would be willing to part it out.

How tall are you? what is your inseam? Just trying to figure if it might fit me.

I actually purchased this one for my son who is 5'4" and has a 30" inseam. The seat height would have worked for him but the top tube was just too long.

What is the top tube measurement c-c ?
Re: FS 2009 Specialized Transition Expert (M) [scoobysdad]
[ In reply to ]
With the seat in the forward position they list the effective top tube length as 496mm. With the seat in the reward position it is 533mm. Part of the reason it was too long for him was that he has to meet UCI regulations for the saddle nose behind the BB which required the seat to be in the rearward position making the top tube too long for him. If you don't have to worry about UCI then the forward seat position makes for a much shorter top tube length.

Would you consider $1800 shipped to zip code 60540?

Travis,
Right now I really want to sell the whole bike, but if that changes I will change the listing so you will know.
