Kim Ross of IBS and I are always working on uniform design ideas for our store. Last year we (she) designed two custom sublimated uniforms for our store- one the blue/light blue/green "Formula 1" motif you may have seen photos of and the other a green uniform for our 2004 cycling team.
We also came up with other designs that we never used including "Wrath of Khan" that was a striking asymetrical color story that resembled, of all things, a Star Trek uniform- but it was cool.
Another was a concept called RED TEAM that has a distinctly Tom Clancyesqe, stealth flavor to it. It is, with one exception, very monochrome in appearance- grey/dark grey/black/ bright yellow and red.
It is the antithesis of current cycling uniform color stories.
Here's my question: The RED TEAM uniform concept/motif definately envokes a "military" feel and appearance with its type fonts and color stories.
Will people be alienated from that type of design or attracted to it?
