I would have to agree that K-town is one of the best races! I've never done the long course, only the short but maybe this year I'll give it a shot. By far the BEST post race feast a from any triathlon that I have participated in.

you coming to Gals of ST Training Camp in April? would love to but time wise unable - one of these years.

only get a chance to read every now and then, happy to see this new addition.

for the boy above: yes to blonde and yes to Doctorate - a degree means nothing really, just more student loans - I might be bitter about the whole advanced
degree thing since it consumed so much of my life, and I am finally now feeling like I am living.

What a cool idea, this forum!

ST name: trigirl125
Age group: 40-44
Years on ST: Been lurking for about 4; have posted infrequently
Favorite race/distance: I like different aspects of each distance. I'd have to say that my favorite race is Silverman in NV.
What are you training for: Not sure exactly, as I'm feeling kind of burned out by triathlon right now. I'm focusing mostly on swimming this season (running and cycling minimally just for bare maintenance), and am tentatively planning on a couple of pool meets, open water 5Ks, and the open water 10K championships at Clemson this June. I'm doing the USMS Go The Distance challenge and shooting for 750 miles this year.
Next race signed up for: None yet!

Little NYC, I know there are a couple of us who have had femoral neck stress fractures in the past. They are definitely frustrating. Take care of it, though, and it will heal -- I promise!
