Box a Kangaroo Joe!

https://www.foxnews.com/...oure-a-damn-liar-man

Biden challenges a guy at a campaign stop to a push up contest after the guy says Joe is too old to be president.

I picture Joe as the Mendalbaum guy on Seinfeld that was putting Jerry through a fitness routine. Used a gym that Jerry referred to as the fitness "museum" and asked if he had to box a kangaroo at the next session.

Joe is without a doubt too old to be President. 78, would be 82 in office if elected.

After the rambling video about Joe's lifeguarding days and putting his legs in the water and having kids touch his leg hair, surely reasonable people can see he is not the guy, right?

This made me chuckle. Pointing out things about a candidate that should be disqualifying while supporting Trump...

Oh, I forgot. You don't support Trump. My bad.

Sounds like age discrimination to me.

I personally believe we should have some form of mental health test for Presidents.

I am sure Reagan would have failed in his later years, and a few others most likely.

But we don't so anyone can run.. and recent results show anyone can win.

But, But, But Trump....You are too predictable.

Do you think the US needs an 82 year old president that rambles on like Biden does when under the lights?

Is he best the Dems have in the entire country? Hell, even Obama won't endorse him and he was his boss for 8 years.

We discriminate with age all the time. We don't let 10 year old's drive cars. We don't let 17 year olds drink.

We dont' let 29 year olds run for President.

In my Utopia, we don't let 78 year olds run for President. I would think that is a pretty non-controversial position. I could probably post a number of peer reviewed scientific journals that show how the mental facilties of 78-82 year olds are not near those of 45 year olds, but everyone has the google to see for themselves.

So it's invalid to bring our...um...president into the discussion about what traits are disqualifying to be president? You'd better set the rules now then about what else isn't allowed in this thread.

I may not disagree with you about Biden's age, but I'm curious when you say 78 is "without a doubt too old," where and how do you draw a line?

If you are over 60 years old, you are not running for president in my world. (would have saved us from ever having Trump) But I would be open to hearing neurologist opinions on the issue as well.

That seems a little young. Maybe using retirement age (currently 66 for full benefits, but rising) would be a better 'objective' way.

That is 60. Run at 60, elect at 61 and serve until 65-66.

Two things:

1) You elected someone who has the emotional regulation of a 13 year old girl.

2) you're hoping for Tulsi Gabbard for prez?

Long Chile was a silly place.

You can find humor anywhere is you look hard enough;

“Well, I knew you weren’t voting for me, man,” Biden said. “You think I thought you’d stand up and vote for me? You’re too old to vote for me.”

I like Tulsi Gabbard as Dems go. Fight against the war machine, bring our troops home and she is easy on the eyes.

Yep. The guy asking the question was 82 and said, "I know I am too old to be President, and so are you Joe"

My only exposure to her is from her two podcasts on JRE, but, it seems odd that she's not getting much attention from traditional media. She checks a lot of boxes, and seems quite likeable. Dare I say, it seems she displays some common sense.

Where do you come up with your stupid arguments? Obama didn't endorse Hillary until she had cinched the nomination (and he met with Bernie priro to that). It's probably a good policy that he won't endorse until the primary season is completed. Seeing anything more into that decision is delusional.

Give me a break. If Biden is the guy for the job, and Obama worked with him for 8 years, he is leading in all the polls, why not endorse him? Even AOC has already endorsed Bernie, should she have waited?

If my boss of 8 years that picked me to be his VP won't go to bat for me in a primary, yea, it says something. Maybe Obama knows he's too old too.

Well, you're in luck. In this utopia, we can decide to not elect someone based on their age if we think it's disqualifying.

But if we're playing that game, why not make the upper limit 68 years for first election, so they're right about at the end of their life expectancy should they survive to the end of a second term.

I really don't want to see an 86 year old President Biden. Or any age President Trump. But here we are.

Already said above 60 should be the limit to run. But I could agree to make it the age the FAA says you can fly a plane, what is that 65?

If you aren't seen as capable of flying a plane, I don't want to you deciding what to do with nukes.

And you are right, we don't live in my Utopia so people do have the choice to elect an octogenarian as president. But I can make the argument that is dumb and point out why.

This is asinine. Obama won't endorse anyone until the nomination is in. To do so risks backing the wrong horse.

OMG, I agree with Windy! You are obviously right. He was also Hillary's boss. Obama was POTUS, AOC is inconsequential. If ACE can't understand how they differ, there's nothing to be done. It wouldn't even be beneficial to Biden to get an early endorsement, it would be an obvious pre-emption of the primary (something Dems get accused of doing all the time).

And if Obama endorsed anyone, ACE would be on here accusing him of messing with the primary.

Just saw the Iowa exchange. He's too old.

It's not a good look for him. It's actually pretty sad to listen to him.

One good thing about him getting the nomination would be all the entertainment we would get from him.

I say he is too old as well. He only got in late because he saw no one positioned to beat Trump. He is past his prime and while in his prime he was a four (?) time loser. The timing may be right for him to be a winner on his fifth time , He may be the best choice to beat Trump, but he is not the best out there. Age discrimination has already been imposed by the founding fathers with regards to minimum age. As valid as that reasons is, the argument to impose a limit on the other side of the spectrum is as valid.
