UFC 241 - DC v. Stipe
Some good fights in the prelims. But, this card is STACKED!

I ran into Showtime Pettis with Duke Roufus at Cryofit on Monday. Pettis was pumped! He said he wants to kill Diaz! It may take that to stop him. Should be one hell of a fight!

I hope DC gets his ass handed to him.

In other news, Maycee Barber moved to RoufusSport this week. Saw her at Cryofit this week. She is awesome! I have seen her last 4 fights and just love her. She is exceptionally nice in person and quickly becoming one of my favorite fighters. I think the move to Duke is going to elevate her even further. Excited to see what she will continue to do.

This'll be the last fight for DC. He's gonna get KO'd and will immediately retire.

Nice meet with Pettis, will be good to see them go, and see how prepped Diaz is after his layoff.

That's was has me most curious. Did you see Diaz light up a blunt during walk-arounds earlier this week? Now, it was a CBD cig and not maryjane. CBD oil was cleared for use about a year ago.

Haha good to see he hasn’t changed, missed him the last few years so just waiting now...

Also like DC but think Stipe is a more entertaining fighter, pulling for him to figure it out this time.

My problem with DC is the complete refusal to acknowledge he had his ass handed to him -- twice -- by Jon Jones. The second time, he was a blubbering mess. He actually lost the belt twice and never actually won the Light Heavyweight belt.

Yeah agreed, I’ll be alright the night JBJ takes an unquestionable beatdown, but Cormier isn’t close to that guy, and shouldn’t play off the losses like there’s an actual rivalry.

Romero vs. Costa was one of the best 3-round fights I have ever seen. Great fight! Hard to judge. I could argue 29-28 either way, but Costa just looked like he took more damage. I have it 29-28 Costa, but, my heart says Romero.

29-28 unanimous for Costa. Yeah, that's what the stats say. But, my eyes still see Romero as the winner and the crowd seems to be in agreement.

Nate has too much brain damage to know when he is hurt. You have to kill him to stop him.

Bummer.

Eh it’s entertaining! I don’t want to think about 45 year old Nate... but it’s a fun mix of striking, judo cardio and idgaf

Good on Joe Rogan to remind the world that Jones has made DC his bitch!

Well, like Joe said, only 2 champs that do not have wrestling backgrounds. Crazy.

Stipe has to use his length. He did not last time. He started to use it, but, lost it halfway through the first.

DC is a bitch and Herb Dean is a fucking idiot. DC clearly put a thumb in Stipe's eye and Herb "Quick Trigger" Dean missed it.

Yeah Stipe’s gotta win with some luck at boxing, everything else comes up DC. Stipe can win using his length like you said

Alright championship rounds - decision goes to DC so Stipe basically has to get a lucky combo in to take this home

Just talked to my guy, back from CA. Pettis broke his foot in the first round. That's why he stopped with the kicks.

I am pretty sure this was reported immediately after the fight. It's crazy how they probably kick pads thousands of times preparing for a fight and all it takes is a foot on something as hard as a shin or knee.

You’re probably right. I didn’t read the post fight reports.

I think Joe Rogan called when it happened when Diaz checked a kick.

Be interesting the route he goes now. Does Ngannou get another shot? Stipe came in lighter for this fight (as did DC, but damn he sure looked fat), does he stay light and try to entice Bones to come take a shot at the title?

I think Dana wants a new HW champ, and will be feeding Stipe to Ngannou and a buzzsaw of people to try to get a personality (I like his personality, but it doesn't sell tickets) into the Champion's spot.
