So I read Dan's article and posted this comment:
I understand a lot of the points in this, and the need for extra guidance. It's quite clear that the focus of SafeSport is to protect minors and not adults per se. That a 45 year old dating a 45 year old in a recreating sport isn't exactly a position of power in the focus of the program. Like a 22 yr old coach and an 18 yr old athlete on a high school or college team.
However, now, if you get into real offenders...there's a coach whom we all know of that was convicted and is one of the most powerful coaches in Triathlon.
