Take a tour of the Gibson guitar factory - great way to spend the morning. Make sure to book in advance.
When is the last time you were in Nashville? I don't think they done this for years. Their Chapter 11 exit has been delayed (as of December).
OPer - You might want to spring for a room at the Opryland Hotel and do the new water park.
https://www.marriott.com/...fve5ih/soundwaves.mi And yes, pretty much all honky tonks allow kids prior to 6PM.
If you want good BBQ - Martins BBQ or Peg Leg Porker. NOT the Jacks BBQ on Broadway.
Bicentennial Mall (mentioned above) is torn up due to New Year's Eve. But the new Tennessee State Museum is open. I hear it's interesting though I haven't been. For another good meal - Monell's (near Bicentennial Mall). Served family style and the best fried chicken. Breakfast through dinner.
Hot chicken - Most go to Hattie B's. It's good with multiple heat levels. The Charlotte Ave. location is easier to get in to.
For the most fun - go to a Preds game if they are in town. Though sometimes tickets can be hard to get.
A tour of the Ryman is interesting. As is a tour at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Then go eat Mexican food at Bajo Sexto. You can also stop and do a tour at the Hatch Show Print (and maybe make your own).
When are you coming? There is always something going on every single weekend.
