a Size medium bar adds 20mm to the length, and a large is 40 mm. i have ~ 40-50mm of elbow hanging off the back it seems
If you want to hold the bars this way, you'll need the longest one they make.
OTOH, I call this "working for the bike". You ought to make the bike work for you...
