Re: Canyon CF8 with Profile Design front hydrations systems : Aeria or FC system ? [Gringoloco]
Hi,

@Gringoloco : Thanks for your info.

The FC hydration did not work for me with the original handle bars.
I ended up with:
- Original Canyon handle bar with Aeria stem (I believe the 100mm version) and Aeria Hydration

Original bike was the canyon CF8 Di2 with the DTSwiss 1400 wheels.
Other tweaks included:
- moving the Shimano junction box/controller inside the stem.
Cons : tight fit + loosing access to button +having to modify the Shimano charging cable
Pro : Easy access to charging port + removing the Di2 cable clutter from the bento box. Honestly, when I got the bike, I was a bit disappointed with Canyon engineering. They definitely could have come with a better design/after market solution to handle their Di2 cable management.

- Tririg brake with inline brake adjuster (I originally tried the original adjuster from Aeria that screws into their stem. It was pulling the cable at an angle and the naked cable seemed to be scrubbing on the Tririg brake. I assume the aeria adjuster is meant for a brake embedded into the front fork.

- machined a custom stem cap bolt (I think the Aerial calls for an M6 whereas the original Canyon is an M4 bolt)

- storage box from 3ddesignstender (the jury is still undecided on this (some fitting issues with the lid/still need to contact the supplier )

Regards,
FG
