I am just curious if this has been answered yet. To me it seems silly to vote for someone because 1) they dont support the person OR most of what he is about BUT, 2) say you like them because they get stuff done and like their policies/accomplishments... and then not list what you agree with. 3) tell people discussion about policies are ways to educate other people.

I used to understand the tea party because I believed we needed to get the debt under control, minimize government spending, supporting small government/local government, etc. If people said that is what they were about, I could understand that - and in fact I supported it. However, in practice - and when in power - that is NOT what happened. Similar to originalists/scalia fan boys for the constitution who are against an originalist / "relevant at any given time" meaning of the second amendment.

So the question as to trump's accomplishments for me are two fold 1) to understand what people like about trump, 2) to hold people to those standards. (Much like i currently make fun of the GOP for in 2016 caring about 1) email security, 2) foreign threats, 3) corruption in the government, 4) self dealing, 5) different sets of rules for the elites, 6) tax cuts that dont help the wealthy, 7) beautiful and cheap health care.

Currently it appears the remaining trump supporters care about 1) nato, 2) supreme court justices, 3) left wing groups, 4) immigration, 5) drug prices. While in office trump hasnt made any legal immigration plan - remember "extreme vetting" that was never explained and was essentially "no Muslims" - nor has trump done anything about drug prices.
