Everested front-side Mt. Coot-tha in Brisbane, and goal was Mauna Kea twice - on the recce (half way up Mauna K), I came across 2 kids real young, and a dad ... with a film crew. Super random, they were from Sydney and in the middle of an everesting!

Anyway, more at the top link (link to another thread in Slowtwitch) but basically TL;DR they didn't make it. I had no idea, so after my own epic recce adventure - didn't bother returning the next few days to do (because I though they had done it), but did Mauna Loa instead (World's Largest Volcano).
