I have done a bunch of Olympic distance races, 4 half ironmans and I will be doing my first Ironman this November 22nd in Arizona. I was thinking to do the HITS Palms Springs Half Ironman on October 24th as part of my training, so that would be 4 weeks before the Ironman. I live nearby Palms, so it would be a very affordable race. Would you recommend to do it or is it too close to the Ironman?

My budget is all gone already so I am not contemplating to do any race earlier far away from home (plane tickets, shipping the bike...). Thanks!
