I did run the IM and everything went well. Indeed, it went above expected. I finished 10th overall.
After some deliberation, swimming was cancelled due to a thick and intense fog over the lake. So instead of swimming 3.8km, we had to run 8km before the ride. Not the best scenario if you've been having running limitations for the past two months.
I run those 8km very slowly at 4.50 min/km (7.50 min/mile) since it was my first duathlon. Most of participants went under 4 min/km (6.30 min/mile) but I knew that was not sustainable. I did 6th best bike split and got to t2 as 11th overall. Then run the marathon in 3:24.
I'm of course very happy.
