The 2018 IRONMAN 70.3 Chongqing will have 30 qualifying slots for the 2019 IRONMAN World Championship and 50 qualifying slots for the 2019 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship available. So they are just giving all the slots away by a random draw? Is that what they mean? There are 722 on the bib list so a 1 in 24 chance for Kona or 1 in 14 for Nice. Pretty good odds as there will be some who decline.
Am interested as I very nearly signed up for this race but went with 70.3 Xiamen instead to try and get a slot.
