I am not avoiding the issue, but I am currently 3 hours away from my LBS due to summer work. I will take it back to them where I purchased the P2 due to the fact they need to make it right and I lack the tools to reinstall.

I have that bike, and I think I had that same problem. It was driving me crazy. It almost sounded like a ball was running around the bearing. I removed the crank, carefully pulled the seal off the bearing and smeared as much marine grease into the bearing as I could, reset the seal, and no problems 2 years later. Maybe worth a try if you feel comfortable enough removing a crank.
