Re: Moving to Charleston, SC; what's the tri scene like? [brownnugen]
We would move there if we had the opportunity. We lived there for a couple of years while I was in the Navy and my wife and I were married there as well. Lots of runs if I remember but for biking, Charleston was ranked 4th city in America for worse drivers. Something to think about while planning your bike routes. Quick search shows the state is still ranked up there, 3rd, and North Charleston is mentioned in the article. We lived in base housing, Goose Creek, so I rode on the base, out towards NPTU, and down Bushy Park road past all the Industrial buildings. Seemed nice and quite.

Than being said my wife and I plan on visiting some friends there and doing the 70.3 race. It's a beautiful area with lots of history. Once you find your routes I think you will love the area as the positives far out weigh the negatives.

Here is a link to our friends son in North Charleston who is training to ride across America.

Links don't work. Not sure what happened or how to fix it. Sorry.
